Building and Repairing Test Equipment

The VTEC staff has its origins in manufacturing, and has been using its extensive knowledge to manufacture test equipment since its inception. VTEC specializes, but is not limited to, fire and flammability test equipment. This includes equipment for the following tests, to name a few:

ASTM E1354, Cone Calorimeter
ASTM E1317, LIFT
ASTM E1321, LIFTs
ASTM E162, Radiant Panel
ASTM E648, Radiant Panel
ASTM E119/E1529 (UL 1709), Fire Resistance Test Furnace

VTEC is also proficient at repairing and refurbishing other manufacturer's test equipment.

All VTEC-manufactured test equipment meets the ISO 25 Guidelines for laboratory work.

The equipment is calibrated to the applicable NIST reference standards.
