Test Equipment

The VTEC staff has its origins in manufacturing, and has been using its extensive knowledge to manufacture test equipment since its inception. VTEC specializes primarily in fire and flammability test equipment. This includes equipment to test per:

• ASTM E1354, Cone Calorimeter
• ASTM E1317, LIFT
• ASTM E1321, LIFT
• ASTM E162, Radiant Panel
• ASTM E648, Radiant Panel
• ASTM E119/E1529 (UL 1709), Fire Resistance Test Furnace

This partial list of test equipment is augmented by VTEC's capability to repair other manufacturer's test equipment.

All VTEC-manufactured test equipment meets ISO 25 Guidelines for laboratory work. The equipment is calibrated to the applicable NIST reference standards.
